Anodizing
Durable oxide finish on aluminium with moderate corrosion protection and good wear resistance. Our anodizing process is third-party approved and under food-grade control.
Application
Anodizing of aluminium is a surface treatment that can be used for parts where requirements are placed on:
- Corrosion protection (moderate)
- Wear resistance (moderate wear)
- Electrical insulation properties
- Parts that must have a cosmetically clean appearance
- Aluminium oxide layer thickness 5–25µ
We carry out anodizing in accordance with MIL-PRF-8625 and DS/EN 12373-1.
If you have requirements for higher gloss or uniformity on the parts, we can also offer chemical polishing / electro-polishing as part of the pre-treatment.
Quality testing
- Salt spray test (ASTM B 117)
- Weight loss test (DS 3210)
- Blue spot (DS 12373-4)
- Colour comparison (AMS STD 595)
- Gloss measurement
- Dimensional check
- Layer thickness measurement
We include a COC and test reports on request. Our anodizing process is third-party approved. Documentation can be provided on request.
